Hempseed oil and hemp oil are different in that hemp oil comes from the entire plant whereas the seed oil only comes from the seeds. The whole plant does contain psychoactive compounds so for this product we needed to make sure that we did not include any of those as this is used more liberally. The psychoactive ingredient found in sativa plant can be harmful to dogs. Hemp is very beneficial because of the active terpenes, but because both of these chemicals come from the same family of plants, we need to be careful when using a terpene enriched hempseed oil for a fish oil supplement. We do create a hemp for pets but it is not in this hemp based product as it would be too much for dogs and cats to handle as far as doing amount. Because we make this product for our own pets, we take serious measures in order to ensure that each bottle is of the highest quality and standards that go above and beyond what the market expects.

How Much Alaskan Salmon and Hemp Oil Should I Give My Dog?

Fish oil combined with Hemp Oil comes in a liquid form and couldn’t be easier to give. Simply pump the recommended amount — found on the back of the label — onto your dog or cat’s food and sit back and watch them gobble it down in delight. No more hard to give capsules or greasy balms. Although these oils are natural and doesn't have any harmful ingredients, it is possible to give too much or overdose what you give your dog.
If you do give your dog too much, don't worry , it's not an emergency but you will need to keep an eye on them for the the next 4-6 hours for digestive issues. If your dog will not stop throwing up or having diarrhea then you will need to contact your veterinarian to take care of that minor problem.

Yes! You can add the Purhemp oil if you want to. The fish oil combination contains hempseed oil already but feel free to use it alongside hemp Oil. We ask that you pay close attention to the amounts you are dosing. As mentioned above, large quantities of oil can upset any dog or cats digestive system and some may have allergies tied to it.
Our Fish Oil contains no hemp. You can always apply the hemp to it if you are using our Purhemp+ product for dogs. The combination of this product is straight fish oil and hemp seed oil. The hemp seeds don't naturally contain terpenes. This specialty oil does have outside terpenes and hemp extracts added to it for health benefits but not hemp.
The extraction method is cold CO2 pressed and is considered the safest extraction method using no alcohol, solvents or refining. This process is similar to fresh-squeezed orange juice.
The EPA concentration is 320mg and the DHA is 370mg. The optimal combined amount of the two is between 250-500mg so this concentration is well above the average fish oil supplements.
