PurEyes: The best dog tear stain remover
Say goodbye to unsightly pet tear stains and eye crusty's!
This product has everything you need to keep your pet's eyes stain-free.
Many pets, notably White Bischons, Himalayan cats, and English Bulldogs, suffer from perpetual tear stains. PurEyes removes tear stains by utilizing a combination of ingredients that attack the root of the bacteria infection where the staining begins.
What is PurEyes?
PurEyes was inspired by our beloved bulldog Gordo who Dave adopted and had a lot of issues to work through. Gordo was a 3 yr old deaf bulldog who ended up developing lymphoma but before then , he had major issues with his eyes. We had a very difficult time keeping his tear ducts in check and many of the tear stain removers on the market either didn't work or had too many dangerous chemicals that we didn't see as beneficial for his health. The idea was to create an all natural tear stain remover that wouldn't not affect him if a small amount got into his eyes or the inevitable fact that the ingredients will be absorbed by his skin at some level. PurEyes has been very successful in eliminating unsightly tear and saliva stains with out stinging your dog. It has also been shown to keep tear stains away for quite a long time so you won't be re-applying every other day.
What Ingredients are in PurEyes?
PurEyes is the all-natural alternative to the dog tear stain removers currently on the market. This product is not meant for direct eye contact but if a little does get into the eye , it will not be harmful. That said, we highly recommend that you avoid eye contact and only use on the surrounding areas.
The only ingredients in this product are : Purified water, Aloe Vera, Sodium Bicarbonate, corn starch, Chamomile oil, xanthum gum, witch hazel and a blend of botanical oils. As you can see , all are natural and do not harm the eye but witch hazel and different oils may sting or irritate the eye ball so it's best to just wipe the surrounding areas.

What is PurEyes Tear Stain Remover for Dogs?
PurEyes 100% Natural dog Tear Stain Remover is the most effective product on the market today for clearing ugly tear stains on your cat or dog. Our solution removes tear stains effectively, safely, and gently. From our research this is the only tear stain remover that does not include harsh chemicals , you won't hear horror stories from people using this product. As we see, when using a product around your dog's eyes, it's best practice to keep them safe with all natural products where the possibility of accidentally getting some in their eyes is very possible. We don't want to put you in that position. Our product may sting the eyes if some gets in there but it will not damage the eye like other products.
PurEyes is a pet care eye treatment solution that is non-irritating and proven to prevent eye leakage and discharge. It works quickly through an easy-to-use method your dog will appreciate. PurEyes can also be used to treat pet chin acne, pet urine stains, and pet saliva stains. We've designed this formula to be easy on the skin with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. These factors along with allergens are usually the root cause behind the tear stains that appear on your dog's face.
100% Assembled in the USA with all natural ingredients. We make this product in our warehouse but our packaging comes from other countries so by law we can only say "assembled" but for the most part, all of our products are actually made in the USA. Best results on dogs and cats that are prone to tear but any pet can use this product for tear staining. Much more efficient that tear stain remover wipes as it will last longer and not dry out over time as wipes do. As well, you never really know how much of the medication you are using on a wipe. A dog with tear stains has very sensitive skin and that is why leaving the fur stained is the result, we do not feel anything with harsh chemicals is a good choice for this situation as well because those chemicals will be absorbed into the skin. This can lead to other problems and again, we can not stress how much we believe in natural remedies for dogs over anything chemical.
Tear stain removers on the market can be very confusing as they come in liquids, chews and powder form and to be honest, we don't feel that is necessary to just wipe away eye crusty's and tear stains on your pets fur. There is no reason to keep spending money on a product that runs out in 30 days when you can have an all natural liquid that will last 2-3 months. There's a good chance that your dog might be eating enough treats and powders that it can be just overload. We prefer that dietary supplements come in the edible form while products like this can be used when needed and will not spoil.

Apply liberally to the stained area with a cotton pad or soft tissue paper. For maintenance, apply weekly to prevent a recurrence.
Dispense a small amount of PurEyes gel onto a clean cotton round or soft paper wipe. Hold your Pets head with one hand and gently wipe your pets face clean. If your dog's eyes already have tear stains, be sure to focus on those areas but do not use too much pressure, the formula will break it up over time. Use daily for 2 weeks then as needed for hygiene maintenance. For best results use with Innovet Shampoo, PurOtic Ear Cleaner once per week.
The effectiveness of tear stain removal may vary depending on how long your pet has been experiencing tear stains and how severe they are, but you should see a difference within a month. The main effects include pore shrinking and a lessened onset of tears. Maintaining a dry tear duct area is the key to preventing bacteria growth.
No refrigeration required.
Keep container closed when not in use. Store PurEyes only in this bottle and as close to room temperature as possible and away from bright light.
Frequently Asked Questions
PurEyes addresses the root of the problem of tear stains. It contains a cleaner that resolves any bacterial infection and an astringent that dries the area of excess moisture. We've also added a herbal flower extract that acts as a natural antibiotic. PurEyes is a topical dog tear stain remover. Other products are often masked as palatable supplements, taking months to work and requiring your pet to ingest antibiotics (e.g., Tylan, Tylosin as tartrate).

Bleach and peroxide can make the hair shaft very porous, causing the stain to set into the hair. PurEyes will only lighten the areas previously damaged by bleach or peroxide, but all regrowth will be clean. Also, bleach and peroxide can burn and be quite painful for pets with sensitive skin as well as burn or ruin eyesight if any small amount accidentally gets into the dog's eyes.

PLEASE do not use peroxide, bleach, or Woolite on your animals. These are very harsh chemicals and will burn your dogs face, eyes and skin.

The ingredients in PurEyes are the best dog tear stain removers that are natural and gentle enough that there is nothing to worry about if a small amount gets into your pet's eyes. Natural ingredients make it so there will not be any itching, burning or irritation.

No. The product does not contain any hydrogen peroxide or bleaching agents. Your pet's hair will not discolor. this can also be very harmful to sensitive skin and burn the eyes if any bit accidentally gets into the dog's eyes.
Staining can be caused by a variety of underlying health issues; here are some of the most common causes:
Clogged or shallow tear ducts: Studies indicate that 20-25% of small dogs and cats are born with closed or shallow tear ducts. Tears overflow because their eyelid space is not deep enough to contain them.
Bacterial & Yeast Infections: When your pet's facial hair is wet from excessive tearing it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and yeast infections. The latter involves red yeast, which causes deep reddish-brown stains, especially on white fur or light colored dogs and cats.
Cutting Teeth: Cutting teeth may cause changes in the head & mouth structure of your pet, placing pressure on the tear ducts.
Irritation & Allergies: Some animals get hair or eyelashes into their eyes, causing irritation. Shampoos and other chemicals can also irritate their eyes. Many breeds are susceptible to a number of different kinds of allergies which can stem from their food, medicine, or environment. Poor quality pet health can lead to a myriad of problems.
Hard Water: Water with high mineral levels in tears can stain the hair around the eyes
Food & Treats: Diet can play a significant role in tearing. Many commercial foods contain additives, preservatives, and food coloring. This can lead to staining as many affect a dog's skin. Be sure to keep your pet on a high quality diet to limit these possibilities.
Fleas: Fleas survive in moisture which they often get from the eye or mouth area. This causes irritation and red stains can stem from flea feces. Unfortunately, these are just a few of the causes of excessive tearing and tear staining.

The ingredients in PurEyes are gentle enough that there is nothing to worry about if a small amount gets into your pet's eyes. Just as above, the witch hazel may sting the eye and botanical oils as well, this will jot injure your dog but it might make using a tear stain remover a lot more harder as your dog will associate a negative condition with the application.
